Accessibility Coordinators assist A.A. members who have a variety of challenges in accessing the A.A. message in A.A. meetings, Twelve Step work, and other A.A. service. Currently the coordinators focus is on developing a Ride Sharing Application to assist A.A.s without transportation with getting to A.A. Meetings. Literature coordinators ensure that A.A. literature is available at the NWP Intergroup office for A.A. Members, A.A. groups, service meetings, and other A.A. events. CPCPI coordinators inform professionals, future professionals, and the community at-large about A.A. — what we are, where we are, what we can do, and what we cannot do. They attempt to establish better communication between A.A.s and professionals, and to find simple, effective ways of cooperating without affiliating. Corrections coordinators help individual A.A. members interested in carrying our message of recovery to incarcerated alcoholics. The current focus is in bringing regular A.A. meetings (men’s and women’s) and A.A. literature into the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Jail. Districts 17, 18, and 19 are part of the local A.A. Service Structure, connecting A.A. Groups in their districts to North Carolina Area 51 and to the General Service Office of A.A. The Districts develop and coordinate local A.A. activities and events, such as workshops, annual Founder’s Day Picnic, and other service opportunities.
